There is also paid parking near by. We paid $1 or so for the couple hours were were there.
I am not positive about either but most restraunts will let you bring your own beer.
No, but you can order it from the menu....
Order from the menu.
It is $14.99 with another entree order.
$12.95 for the lunch buffet
Call them directly.
They serve a lunch buffet only in a weekday, not for dinner.
Casual cantonese seafood restaurant. Lobsters were good, other dishes were above average. Went there around 10pm on a Thursday and wasn’t too crowded. Nice experience
Food was excellent but make sure you have reservations because the place gets packed.👍
Tasty authentic Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices.
Ordred carryout, food was good. Not great, but I'll give it another shot.
Always a great choice for late-night Chinese food. Or anytime of the day. It's authentic and the service is quick. It's one of the few restaurants that allowed dine-in service as soon as the restrictions were lifted by the state during the pandemic.
This restaurant has been around so long. It is a great place to get some Cantonese food.
Very crowded! Good food, service is alright. Parking is tight also
This place is so good. The entrees are served family style, so be careful when you order. Lots of very good food!
It's my family's favorite, salt and pepper lobster, tofu w/spinach, and honey walnut shrimp. Also fish mau soup
Good food everything look fresh but one thing you should know. If you order 1 lobster you have to order another main dish If 2 lobsters have to order 2 main dishes. also very long line during dinner time.
The food had good quality and the server I had was professional. That made the whole experience much better. It was quite crowded though. They tried to fit as many tables as possible into a rather small area. So the chair I sat on was almost touching another customer's chair. In general, my family had a good time.
Great Southern China-Hong Kong style seafood restaurant. Salt and pepper crab is winners and the Honey walnut shrimp is a must. Would have been 5 stars but service could have been a smite better. Front reception lady should be a little more pleasant.
Extremely rude front desk staff but the best food (aka no frill) we had around Honolulu - lobster is a must order, we ordered and enjoyed both ginger green onion flavor and salt and pepper flavor.
First time back since 2016. I used to rate this place a 4 star but the quality has changed. It's so crowd and don't order the "Green onion fry oyster" it give me a headache.
Best Chinese Food in honolulu the lobster is the best
Incredible lobsters! And the other dishes are great as well!! Highly recommend.
There is fraud in this restaurant, customers must be careful when checking out.
Great food if you like Chinese food, speciality is the lobster for $16
Bomb food! Delicious...absolutely fantastic Duck n Lobster. Very crowded and fast paced. 4th time there and always a great experience!
Tasty Chinese food with a bit of class (replacing used plates with new, cloth table covers and napkins, full size chopsticks rather than disposable). Service may be slower as it's often crowded; but probably better service than many local Chinese restaurants. Slightly more expensive but worth the quality. Parking can be an issue during peak hours but coming later after 8 PM seems to work well. If you are looking for late night-early morning hours, this is the place for you.
Love this buffet. Ford is excellant. The duck and fried chicken are my favorites on the buffet. The tempura shrimp is also very good. My favorite chinese buffet.
Quick service, great prices for Honululu, and delicious food! We called ahead (for Saturday night) and were seated right away. There were plenty of wait stuff to get water and take orders right away and food was there super quick We had a ton go leftovers to take home. Was one of the best dining experiences we had while vacationing in Oahu. For all the seafood we got- the prices were very fair! Will definitely be visiting again if we come back.
Excellent Chinese seafood! I had delicious live swimming shrimps and live abalone! We also had lobster too because their lobster is really cheap and good 15$each! Also I’m allergic to most Chinese restaurant’s MSG but here at Fook Yuen I didn’t have any symptoms at all so no MSG! Finally I think a lot of people complains about service but oh well as a Chinese restaurant’s, the standard of service is pretty good already, they change plates all the time !! Of course don’t expect a big smile and super good service...if you expect for service please don’t go to Chinese restaurants! Real authentic Chinese restaurant don’t sell services! They did add the 15% service charge but I’m from Canada and we usually give 15% so we didn’t feel offended!
Worst, I went to 6 o'clock and waited for an hour, dirty and unkind.
Recommended by our hotel concierge, and thankfully so. It's such a great experience. The prawn with walnuts was worth flying 2500 miles for alone. Everything fresh, not sure why some reviews said too much salt. Wish we could go again before we leave.
My favorite place to get Cantonese style Chinese food. We have eaten here for years . They have some of my favorite dishes here and have not changed. They even have late night menu. If you like lobster this is the place to go. They have a special one whole lobster for $14.99 (2019 price) when you order any entree. So I will get e-mien with mushroom & the lobster stir fried with butter garlic sauce.
Food is good and service is good. Lunch buffet is good
Very authentic! Service can be hectic at times, but the staff are generally nice and accommodating. Great place to visit if you're on vacation. Just be prepared to get your hands dirty.Source: Am Chinese
Doesn't even worth 1 star.$60.00 meal doesn't even worth a dime.My wife could NOT eat at all and all I tasted was salts, salts and salts.Good luck!Do you need luck(s) when you eat at a restaurant? Especially with your sweetheart?
Fast service even with the place packed on a Monday evening. Fried tofu with veggies cooked perfectly. Well made Mai Tai. Highly recommended. This is the place above the 7-11 at McCully and Kapiolani.
Good food. We went for dinner with a group of 7, ordered family style and got to try several dishes that we usually order when doing Chinese and then some. The Dungeness Crab...yum! We were seated after a decent wait and had no issues with the service or dishes once we were seated. Above average standard fare and food. I would come back again if I needed my Chinese food fix on the island. Just consider this place is very popular and the wait times can be long around dinner time especially without a reservation.
Good Food, and opened late.
Terrific value! Great fried chicken drumettes and shrimp tempura. Pig feet like mom use to make. Would give them 5 stars, but they use too much MSG.
Good food, good service, nice view. Do not go on a whim, get a reservation. A must.
Terrible! If there is a 0 star I would have given it to them. Ordered to go and the one who took the order was super rude by saying "we are very busy. What do you want?" And because they were busy they no longer offered delivery. Fine. I went to pick up after one hour as they told me to. I looked at the bag and it didn't seem to have any plastic ware or chop sticks in it so asked about it. The lady at the cashier looked at me and said there were chop sticks in the middle. When I got back there was nothing in the bag, no plastic ware, no chop sticks, no napkin, nothing. Stay away from them.
Really great food and great quality price...miam
My husband and I dined at Fook Yuen for our wedding anniversary. We ordered the same salt and pepper lobster as the other table did. The order came and I noticed that we got all the tiny legs and the other table got most of the meaty part of the lobster. I felt cheated. This has happened before. We left unhappy and ruined our dinner.
Came here with a friend on Wednesday night around 7:30 pm, i was surprised that no waiting . We ordered soft tofu, young chow fried rice and 2 lobsters. For the 1st time, foods came out fast, they were delicious, also great service. This visit I give 4 star.
Good food. The deal on lobster with a dinner is great.
You can always count on Fook Yuen for the best chinese food on the islands! Been coming here since the day i was born. I recommend reserving a table before coming here as there is always a wait at night (especially weekend nights)
Great selection. Delicious dishes. Decent prices.
Most authentic "traditiinal" Chinese food on the island. China now has many upscale restaurants which incorporate modern cooking techniques, ideas and tastes. Fook Yuen Is Chinese comfort food. Harkens back to the best restaurants in China before the early 90's.It is where cooks from other Chinese restaurants go to eat.
Really good dim sum. The wait is long but it is worth it.
True authentic Chinese food. Meals come family style or get the buffet. Great food and lots to choose from. Kind and friendly staff. Would eat there again!
The service was very rude. Yes they were busy but the fist encounter was the Hostess and the lady spoke rude just because we asked how large are the lobster that was 14.99. The waiter was Rushing us to place the order and when we asked about various items on the menu he answered sarcastically like we should have knowledge of their menu. This was our first visit and last one. The food taste good but the restaurant was dirty. Tables were vacate with dirty dishes just sitting on the table. We asked at first that we want table near the window and they sat us at table that have this large Big Pole was next to our table but I did not want that table because the pole was distraction to myself. The bar counter was where they were piling all these dirty glasses that need to be wash. I do not recommend this restaurant. Bad and poor service.
Love the lobster here. Yum.
Very good seafood!!! And reasonable price!! A must visit!!
With your choice of Garlic-ginger, Black bean sauce or salt+pepper, its the BEST Crab & Lobster! Fried rice is fluffy and extra delicious here. Always a favorite restaurant for big family gatherings. Quick service . A great spot for Lunch, Dinner and alsolate evening Supper!
As always ~good food with decent price
5 stars for food, 4 stars for spotty wait staff service that can at times be frustrating, and of course be ready to wait a long time for a table almost 7 days a week during dinner if you don't have a reservation. Call ahead!Well known for delicious Chinese food, folks like us have been coming here for +10 years, back when it was $10.99 a lobster prepared one of several popular styles (now $14.99). Dishes cost $2-4 more than what you would expect to pay in Chinatown a few miles away, and probably influenced by its proximity to Waikiki.Word about this place has gone out to both locals and tourists (10-20 minutes walk from most Waikiki hotels) and the place is almost always packed 7 days a week. Line forms before doors open at 515pm & folks still gather to get in an hour later. Enjoy, but be patient :)
